Brazos Progressives Meeting: Opening the Door to the Inclusion of Transgender People
The members of Brazos Progressives are invited to attend the next meeting on
Tuesday, 9 December, 5:30 pm, at The Village Cafe in downtown Bryan, 210 W. 26th St. (across from Mr. G's Pizzaria). Katy Stewart is the
guest speaker and will be talking about what she learned at a conference on
transgender activism:
"Opening the Door to the Inclusion of
Transgender People"
The format for the meeting will
be:
- 5:30-6:30pm - Gather, socialize and eat great, healthy food at The Village Cafe.
- 6:30pm-7pm - Talk by Katy Stewart.
- 7-7:30pm - Steering Committee and member announcements.
If you have yet to go to The Village
Cafe, now is the time. It is a great place featuring healthy locally grown food
and it showcases local artists in coordination with Art 979. If you know that
you will be attending (and eating) it would be great if you could reply to this
email so that we can prepare enough seating and warn off the chef. If you're not
sure, you can still turn up on the day.
We hope that you can take this
opportunity to gather the membership before the end of the year and to hear an
interesting talk from one of our most active members on one of our most
challenging progressive issues.
